Question / Help Audio Sync to Video

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a little bit of help with audio syncing. I've always recorded videos and then hand fixed the audio in editing, but I'm looking to start livestreaming.

The problem I'm having is that the delay between the desktop audio and the mic is different every time I hit the record button (ranging from 2ms to 90ms). Is there any way to account for this in OBS?

Part of my problem is there is a slight overlap of desktop sounds into the mic, so the delay, although small, is noticeable.

Look forward to any help you can give!

Put in a sync offset for the mic in the Mixer. Click the wheel and you'll see the field to change.
This happens from time to time. I put in like 200ms and fiddle with it every now and then.

Yes, but the problem is that the offset is different each and every time I hit the record button. Sometimes the offset is 5ms, sometimes the offset is 90ms - and I can't find out which until after the recording has finished.
