I am trying to stream xbox 360 through OBS using an elgato but when i start the stream the sound stutters. This only happens when using OBS so I know its not the elgato. Anyone know how to fix this?

Here's a link to the video: http://www.twitch.tv/reemiewonder/b/635549491

Sorry I forgot about that.
np.

Code:
GetQPCTime100NS: WTF, clock went backwards! 1421398663587 < 1421398663594

turn off mic QPC timestamps.

Also you have your video capture device (elgato) in OBS with buffer enabled yet set to 0, either disable it or set a buffer size.

It says I have mic QPC time stamps unchecked already so I checked then unchecked it. I am going to try a test and get back to you. Thanks

the main probably being double click your elgato capture in scenes (or rightclick properties) and uncheck buffer or set a buffer. try one then the other. I think this is the heart of the issue maybe?

Hello.

I am also having the same issue. I'm new to OBS and am streaming Xbox 360 to YouTube as a test for an event that we will be streaming soon.

I get stuttery audio on the stream, but only from my Xbox (via Blackmagic device) not from my voice mic.

Xbox 360, HDMI 720 59.94 fps to Blackmagic UltroStudio Pro USB3 to my Dell XPS laptop to YouTube.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nROSFgjsVY (sound issue can be heard from the start and I speak from about 30 secs so you can hear that is fine from my mic)

I have attached my log fine[https://gist.github.com/c7ca4db1fea71dadd1c5] and have screen grabs of my settings (BM and OBS) if that would be useful to people. [I analysed the log file through OBS and am aware that it says audio bitrate is higher than it needs to be - I did a test yesterday at the recommended bitrate and the audio still stuttered, thus my change today to see if that fixed it)

Can anyone offer any advice?

Many thanks in advance.

And @Kareem maybe play with the scene buffering maybe 1000ms see if that remedies the issues.

Elgato
Hey,

In the property settings of the Elgato Game Capture, is the audio set to "Use Device audio" or something else? It should be set to "Use device audio"

np.I'm asking Royal Shrimp for advice since I do not know what the recommendation for the Elgato buffering to be disabled or set to something... just to get things back to standard since the scene buffering thing didn't work, set that back to 700 plz.

Do you have a Cat5 cable you can connect to your router for streaming? just to rule that out?

I dont have good access to one but i will try.
