It would be nice to be able to stream in sample rates other than 44100Hz. Certain hardware only supports 48,000Hz sample rates. Codecs like MP3 can take proportionately less bits to encode at lower sample rates. Windows "Stereo Mix" is limited to 441000Hz for capturing sound, so it's not so bad being stuck at 44100Hz, but it's just a hassle to resample.
