Audio stopped working

Reinstalling software pretty much never fixes things. This applies to OBS but also to pretty much every other Windows software out there. Simple reasoning: if you de-install something then your configuration files get left behind. Then when you re-install that same configuration gets re-used. Ergo: the potential cause of the problem is never addressed.

When it comes to hardware in- and output issues my suggestion is to try and create a new profile. See the Profile menu for this: create a new profile, allow it to use the automatic setup wizard and then check if you regained access to your audio. If this works then you can check your new audio settings and compare them to your old one.
 
I appreciate the heads up on that, never really thought about the config files just sticking

I tried a new profile and the audio mixer is still completely silent unfortunately
