Audio Split between game output and headset mic?

Hey so I don’t have a separate mic to stream with, so im just using my headset microphone to chat etc. however where I’ve split the signal between the game and my voice it’s still picking up my voice as the default sound output is my headphones. Is there any way to split the signal from my headphone mic without it being included in game? Cheers

Did you set to listen the mic in the audio preferences on windows? Have you set it to be monitored on advanced audio properties in OBS?

noninhavent I assumed the monitored setting was just a listen back, I’m not sure what you mean by the first thing

Your mic shows up with a meter in the Audio Mixer widget of OBS. Just mute the mic here to exclude it from a recording.
If you never want the mic appear in any recording, remove it as audio source in Settings->Audio.
You can also configure which audio source is enabled or disabled for any output audio track in Settings->Edit->Advanced Audio Properties.
