I have a line input that I have to set (in Advanced Audio Properties) to +10db to get a good level. The problem is, at any level >0db, there is then no ability to gently adjust volume. If you touch the slider, then it pops down to +0 and causes an ugly instantaneous change in the volume.
Most audio sliders on sound boards and DAW software go above 0db. Ableton goes to +6db, our PreSonus sound board goes to +10. I get that "casual users" may be confused by this... Perhaps make it a setting:
