Preface;
I am a two PC user, and have no issues with my current audio setup. I am attempting to help a friend, but with their audio set up, it appears that it's going to be a little more tricky than I expected for some reason.
Goal : We're trying to separate music and desktop audio, while allowing them to listen to the music, so they can utilize the new Twitch VOD Track option in OBS.
Issue : Routed audio works, but can't be heard. If we send the audio to their headphones, OBS's Desktop Audio picks it up in the audio mixer, duplicating the audio, and making the Twitch VOD Track useless.
Here's how I've tried to set up the audio routing, but we still get doubled audio, or the user is unable to hear the music.
Installed Virtual Audio Cable.
Installed Audio Router Dev.
Setup 1 : Music CAN'T be heard, but is routed correctly.
Spotify/iTunes --> Audio Router Dev --> Routed to "VB-Audio Virtual Cable" --> "VB-Audio Virtual Cable" added to OBS Global Audio Sources
Setup 2 : Music CAN be heard, but is doubled up in the mixer.
Spotify/iTunes --> Audio Router Dev --> Routed to "VB-Audio Virtual Cable" --> "VB-Audio Virtual Cable" added to OBS Global Audio Sources
Windows Sound --> "VB-Audio Virtual Cable" Properties --> Listen to --> Set to Default Device (Headphones)
Is there a solution to this? I attempted to replicate this issue as best as I could, hopefully someone has some info!
Also for the screenshots, please ignore all the other audio cables & voicemeeter setup, the user I am trying to help does NOT have this set up.
