My audio from my desktop and games isn't being recorded and played through Twitch. I can hear all the sound like normal through my headphones and when looking at the desktop audio device inside of my scenes, it's showing that it is also going up and down with the desktop volume, however, no sound is streamed. OBS isn't muted in my sound mixer, and I'm on the 64 bit OBS. I've ran it as an administrator. I don't know what else to try. :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is what my settings currently look like. I have an external DAC/AMP for my headphones and my guess is the issues has something to do with it although I have no idea why that would be the case. Any help is great!
I also tried using another streaming software called Game Show and it didn't even register that I had desktop audio, unlike OBS, which indicates that it can detect the sound of the desktop audio but isn't recording it and putting it on the stream.
If I disable the general audio settings and replace it with input and output devices in a scene I get this weird issue where my mic will sound fine until I try adding the desktop audio to the scene at which time my voice becomes robotic. This is not the case if I have the Mic and Output captures in the general audio settings of OBS.
When I turn off my DAC/amp for my headphones I can hear the in game sounds again when I try to record. But I can't hear any music that I'm trying to play through Spotify. So the desktop sound still isn't functioning. I am using the 64 bit version and I tried a complete reinstall of OBS, sadly that didn't help.
I have now tried using XSplit and the audio can be broadcast through it, but I would much rather use OBS so I can stream 1080p. Still looking for a solution...
So Xsplit has its own audio driver and I think that's why it works on Xsplit. But all my other drivers are up to date and I have no idea why they wouldn't also work.
