Audio recording not as clear as expected

I've been using windows>G to record video calls, but decided to try OBS to suppress the echo I've been getting. It was great at suppressing the echo, but my voice wasn't nearly as clear as windows>G. So I removed the filters and display, and did some simple audio input/output recordings. That helped a little bit, but my voice is still suppressed and a bit metallic sounding. I've included the log file, hoping you can tell me if I've got my settings wrong. Apologies for not knowing much about recording, or tech in general tbh.

You record both of your audio sources 2 times, so they will mix and overlay. One time through your audio input capture and audio output capture and a second time through the global audio sources in Settings > Audio > Global Audio Sources. Remove one set of sources. Either the 2 audio sources in your scene or the 2 global audio sources.

Thanks - that helps a lot. But now the volume is quite low (log). What's the best way to increase it? I experimented with a gain filter a bit, but the result seems to have a bit of sibilance.
