Question / Help Audio recording has echo/reverb/delay

Hello,

I have only just today run into this problem. When recording a game from a demo player, watching the recorded video in VLC there is a echo/reverb or delay on the audio.

I have not changed any settings in obs or the game/game demo player recently and I have made lots of videos with it before with no problem like this one.

I did however this week do some Windows updates, maybe this has caused it? I am using Windows 7.

Thank you for any help.

If you have a webcam, set its audio source to Disabled in its source properties window. Most common cause of echo, followed only by Xonar mode being on (turn it off if so).

Set your Mic/Aux to something other than 'What U Hear' (preferably your microphone, or to Disabled). You only want to have your Speakers as a desktop audio source, and you're capturing double with the stereo mix on the mic input.

Thank you! This has fixed it. It still is strange how it only did this problem from today, I have never even touched those settings before.
