Question / Help Audio (Really need help with this...)

1. i have 16 (DVD quality) bit and 24 (Studio quality) bit , 48 khz in my "Windows Microphone Properties", which should i choose and why ?

2. I have "2 channel, x bit, x khz" not "1 channel", why is that ?

Generally, it's best if you use the same settings for every device, not a mix of settings. If you have different settings, Windows has to convert internally, which is worse than not converting. Look at your output: what do you want to produce? Usually, you want to produce a 16-bit 48kHz audio track, because this is what streaming services and media players usually expect. So set all your audio devices to this combination.

2 channel is stereo, 1 channel is mono. Usually, your mic is 1 channel (mono) and everything else is 2 channel (stereo).

So if i have 48khz on OBS i should choose headphones/mic 16-bit(not 24-bit) 48kHz, and when im not recording i can put headphones/mic to highest khz again, yes ?

That said, its simple.

Everything on 48khz, 16 bits, 2 channels. For both streaming/recording. Thats it you're done.
Don't forget to also change the same thing in your advanced sound properties (right click speaker icon - sound)

If you want to change your mic from stereo to mono, open OBS, go into advanced properties and then turn on downmix to mono. But you dont need to do that.
