Audio randomly cuts out mid stream

Hello!

For the past few weeks, I have been having issues with my OBS randomly cutting my desktop audio in the middle of stream. The visualizers still show audio presence, but when listening in on stream, the audio is not there. I have to then reset the audio device in the audio options in the middle of stream every time this happens. It seems to fix it for a little while. However, after doing that it will eventually stop playing the desktop audio through.

My audio device for desktop is a Fulla DAC
Thank you for your time

I previously had this issue where I had working desktop audio in OBS's VU meters, but viewers said they couldn't hear anything. I had to switch from desktop audio to using my mixer's hardware loopback for it to work - but later on (after a reboot?) desktop audio worked again. At the time I didn't think to report it as an OBS bug but it seems like it might be an OBS bug - I just watched a Twitch streamer struggle to troubleshoot this same issue after discovering one of his old recordings was silent.

The issue seems to be: The VU meters in OBS will show levels for an audio input that has audio coming in - either Desktop or a hardware mic input - but OBS itself does not capture it in the recording, the recorded audio track is silent. There *is* an audio track and it's not corrupted.
