Audio Random "crinkling/glitch" audio noise on recorded video only

Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue that I thought I solved by replacing my PC hardware, but it came back and I can't pinpoint its origin.

I hear a strange audio noise/glitch only when rewatching the recordings made with OBS. It happens at irregular intervals across all games. I do NOT hear any glitching in real-time while playing, neither through my headphones nor through my speakers.

My Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
  • GPU: ASUS Prime RTX 5070
  • Motherboard: MSI PRO B650-A WIFI
  • RAM: 32 GB DDR5 CL30 6000MHz
  • PSU: be quiet! Dark Power 14 850W Titanium
  • Case: NZXT H9 Flow (2025)
  • Audio Gear: Audient iD4 MKII Audio Interface + Shure XLR Mic
  • Peripherals: Elgato Stream Deck, Keyboard, Mouse, Creative Desktop Speakers
System Behavior & Observations:

  • Temperatures and CPU/GPU usage are completely normal during gameplay.
  • Running LatencyMon showed slight latency spikes in nvlddmkm.sys (Nvidia kernel mode driver), which slightly improved after updating graphics drivers.
  • Audio pops are gone, but this specific noise remains in recorded files.
  • Important detail: I had the exact same issue on a completely different older PC build. The only components carried over from the old build are the mouse, keyboard, Stream Deck, and the Audient iD4 interface + XLR microphone.
  • Background software running: MSI Afterburner, HWInfo, Stream Deck software.
  • OBS Audio Settings: 48,000 Hz sample rate across all devices and OBS settings, Audient buffer size set to 512 samples.
Could this be caused by a software conflict (e.g., Stream Deck or OBS application audio capture) or an audio driver/kernel issue under high GPU load?

Any help or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated!
