Hey Guys,

I was wondering if it is possible to like add audio in your stream.
So lets say, im playing Counter-Strike Global Offensive (which I am), I really need my sound to locate my enemys and hear where they are, so I cant play my own music. But is there anyway I can let my viewers hear music when I don't hear it myself?

Regards,
cleartje

You know, there really is not a clear solution to that. However, if you use a mixer as your "mic" you could do something like that by just making sure Windows is not "listening" to your mixer. However, the other part is you would have to probably use another device to play the music, like another pc, an iPod, Etc... anywho, I hope that sheds some light on your issue sir.

Kind regards,

You could also use VAC and then output your music player (eg. Foobar2000) and microphone to VAC Line 1 and then use it as a microphone in OBS, but it's a paid application :(

you don't need vac if you have digital output and normal speaker output.

I'm gonna explain how to do it if you listen through a normal audio jack

1- make the digital output your default playback on windows

2- enable stereo mix and check listen to this device (play it to the digital output)

3-make the game output to your regular normal speakers not the default option not the digital output and restart it to make sure it takes effect.

if you get a nasty audio sound you gonna have to play with the audio volume levels at different places to balance it out.

when you're done streaming you can make your normal speakers the default again.

more? Do you use some kind of software for that? Many games don't let you select output device.

well, in such cases i don't know about vac but there is this virtual playback with it's own stereo mix and supports win8dows 8 its called "Stereo Mix Plus" its not free but it is if you shut the interface down ;)

you set your music player to output to "virtual audio driver" and on obs pick up the (recplay stereo mix)
if you want to use flash player as a music player then you're out of luck with this method.
