Question / Help Audio Question

My gaming PC has a Sound Blaster Z sound card. If I utilize the Optical Out to go to my streaming PC that has an Optical In, will that be sufficient for capturing the audio of my gaming PC?

from your stream PC, how would you hear things if your primary audio device is your digital audio?
