audio question

Hi, I've searched the entire internet and can't find the answer to my question which I think is a simple one.

How do I make it so the audio input is permanently playing?

If I switch to a scene, the audio from the scene starts being broadcast. I want the audio from the audio input to be always what is being broadcast.

Many thanks

If I understood right, you want an audio playing always, independently of the scene or scene change, is it?
I was trying hard to do it in order to put background music for all scenes and I couldn't get it.

My problem was similar but MP3 instead input source. With MP3 into of each scene, it started again on every scene change. I wanted to play it continuously independent of the scene. I think that OBS "shows and plays" the sources that are into each scene content, no posible to play anything as "General Scene source".
I hope somebody can help.

thanks for the reply. I don't think I explained my issue very well.

Basically I want the same audio all the time, no matter what visuals are displayed. And I want the audio to be from my 'audio input capture'

An input audio capture source plays only while it is in the active scene. To configure global audio sources, go to Settings->Audio and configure your audio device here.
It might also work if you add your audio input capture source to every scene (with the add existing option), but it may be there is a transition if you switch from scene to scene. But may be worth a try.
