Hello,
A few days ago when reviewing one of my streams, I noticed some audio issues akin to my voice sounding crunchy at times. I thought this might be a form of clipping.
I decided to run some audio tests last night by speaking into OBS (local recording) and Audacity at the same time. Oddly, I noticed that Audacity picked up none of the distortion that OBS did. I’m not sure what would cause this other than software because at this point, we know one set of software is getting a totally clean signal from the mixer. I’m wondering if it has to do with the input level being increased within OBS to make it loud enough for the stream?
Maybe my next test will be to lower the audio level I have set via OBS and test to see if it still picks up the distortion. Any thoughts are much appreciated!
For reference: I’m running the latest version of OBS Studio (Just reinstalled it last night)
