Bug Report Audio Problems

So I downloaded the 20.0.1 update and ever since then my audio has been messed up. When I open obs its make my voice sound lower in my mic. Then the input audio I get from a game, video, or say my friends voices in discord my headphones will just blast with loud noises and then its makes the voices in videos or my friends sound very low as well. Please help.

got back from vacation and streamed, changed no settings, and my viewers complained about the exact same thing.
please patch this.

I think something did happen though. I changed nothing from pre to post update and my audio was all over the place while i was streaming post update. My desktop audio was insanely loud coming out of OBS and my mic was really quiet and the only thing that changed was i updated OBS.

Check that the windows communication settings (Sound control panel, Communications tab) are set to "Do Nothing"

Are you able to provide a sample of the audio so I can hear what's going on?

This is very puzzling, as nothing audio related at all changed in the update.

So i managed to fix it

I think the windows update messed with my audio levels on my computer. When i checked my audio settings in windows, my mic was set to 50, which explains why it was so low. i have no idea how that happened because i havent touched my audio in months, so i can only assume a windows update did something to it

in addition, i uninstalled and reintstalled obs. all seems to be ok now.
