Question / Help Audio popping when broadcasting high bitrate video

Hello!

First and foremost thanks to the OBS team, love this software.

So here's my problem:

I'm streaming to justin.tv and have to use VAC. I'm also using the Monitor Capture option.

Unlike many broadcasters, I'm broadcasting video files rather than a game's display.

Broadcasting is great, everything is perfect, as long as I'm using video files with a bitrate of less than ~1000kbps

When I try to broadcast back a video that is higher than about ~1000kbps, the audio on the justin.tv stream pops and clicks. The video isn't skipping, It never loses sync, and OBS is reporting that it isn't dropping any frames.

I'm confused though, since I'm using monitor capture, it shouldn't matter what the video bitrate is, correct? Its encoding and streaming the same selected spot on the monitor regardless of bitrate, right? Or am I completely wrong...

I don't know exactly why this is happening and I've tried changing around some options to no avail. I also believe this might be a VAC issue rather than an OBS one as the exact same videos playback fine without the audio skipping when I'm not using VAC.

Anyone come across and been able to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance to everyone!
