Question / Help Audio playback

i am not a gamer , my 10 year old isn't either but installed obs but we can't get the audio to work. The bar seem to reflect us speaking or the noise on the computer but when we playback we don't hear anything . We are able to hear audio on MP4 files not created by obs. Any ideas? It must be something simple.

Try playing the file back in VLC or MPC-HC instead of Windows Media Player. If you're using OBS Studio this should be improved in the next release.

Thanks, will try. Windows media plays audio on other MP4 files. Do you really think it could be the player?
