I will start off by explaining what we use OBS for. We are a school district that streams events live on YouTube. During games (football, basketball, volleyball, etc.) we have a play by play announcer. I connect a broadcast headset (to be specific: Audio-Technica BPHS1 Broadcast Stereo Headset with Dynamic Cardioid Boom Mic) to OBS. I use an adapter to usb. The adapter is female xlr, which plugs into the male xlr of the headset. The other end of the adapter is USB type A which plugs into the computer. I set it up on OBS either as an input audio capture or I go into the advanced audio settings and change one of the Mics from default to the USB mic.
Now, the livestream is connected by USB type A. That is our sound system and camera, and it runs through a mixer, to the laptop which runs OBS. The laptop is a MacBook Pro.
The issue is when I want two broadcasters for our livestream. An example of this would be a play by play and a color-commentator, or someone to read the ads, or interviewing a player or a coach. I can setup a second mic just fine, typically I use a USB mic of some sort. I have streamed games and both mics send audio through and work just fine. What I would like to have happen, is to be able to hear each other (both broadcasters) through our headsets. Often times I have to sit right next to the person I am streaming with and even have to remove an ear cup to make sure I can hear them. I think there should be a way that I could hear their audio (what they say) through the headset.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
