Audio not working for Google Meet

I am a teacher that has been using OBS for my Google Meet classes. I have been using OBS as a virtual camera and have used it in conjunction with a virtual audio cable to send audio to Google Meet with no issue for the past few months.

All of a sudden, the audio does not register to in Google Meet. I have the following settings in place:

1. In Google Meet, "VB-Audio Virtual Cable" is selected as my microphone.
2. In OBS, I have "CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)" set as my monitoring device.
3. I have my Desktop Audio and Mic set to monitor and output in OBS.
4. The audio mixer in OBS is picking up signal for both my desktop audio and my mic.

What could possibly be the issue? Is there something that I need to change in my Windows sound settings? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello - I don't mean to bug either of you, but I am not quite understanding the instructions you gave us "Cyclamat". I have downloaded VB meeter - but I'm not sure how to duplicate the channels or do anything else. If someone could please explain this that would be amazing. I am having the exact same problem as "Emhmaestro". VB virtual audio cable was working until suddenly it stopped one day. I'm not particularly sure why.

It would be great to get some help because I am kind of stuck here!
