Dear all,
Want to broadcast live music. Set up : 1 Dell I5 processor, running Windows 7 with Traktor Pro and/connected my Pioneer DJM900 nexus working superfine. Running OBS with second laptop HP I7 processor, running Windows 10 running OBS, the latest update. OBS works fine with 2 Logitech C920 cams concerning streaming and image, no problem at all. My DJM900 nexus mixer is connected (from output Booth )with my HP laptop (line in input) running OBS. Cable starts 2 jacks from output booth into a 3.5 jack into the input headset to my second laptop HP.
My issue is, OBS don't recognize audio input from my mixer. As audio input , I have only the choice between the 2 mics from the Logitech cams or the mics from my HP laptop. Can someone tell me how to sync my mixer with OBS on my HP laptop? Found a solution with Mac but it's Window that I have.
Many thanks for your help.
Greetings, Patrick

Taking a stab in the dark, most newer laptops are wired for TRRS (Tip, Ring, Ring, Sleeve), you are using a TRS adapter so when you plug it into the Headphone/Mic combo port you are only activating the Headphone portion of it. Macbooks I believe will ask you what you plugged in and "rewire" the connection if it was a TRS and you are trying to do Mic/Line in.

You could buy yourself a cheap USB soundcard that has separate headphone and mic TRS 3.5mm jacks.

Hi Dedrick,
That seems a plausible solution, will try it, it's so cheap that I can't leave it as it is without trying your solution.
Hereby a link where they explain how the set up but its for Mac:

A 6.58 he explains how to set up the sound but it's for Mac. Hopefully your idea would clear my issue.
Keep you informed Dedrick .

Hi ,
Nope, we tried your suggestion and its a no go :(
Also bought the Behringer uca202 'cheap' soundcard and still, not working at all. All of this setup is with 2 laptops.
But if I run on 1 laptop , the HP I 7 , Traktor Pro 2 + OBS+link all my pioneer gear, in OBS in 'audio in' I find my djm 900 nexus mixer. So OBS recognize it but still no sound coming trough :( It's frustrating not finding the solution. I don't care about the video stream, (by the way works perfectly with OBS and Logitech C920) but I need to stream perfect audio. But not giving up, it's not in my nature :)
Keep you informed and all help is more than welcome.

Hello every one,
After many searches and testing i finally got it. All is working fine with ..... the Behringer UCA202 sound card. Just connect from out the mixer , in my case Pioneer DJM 900 nexus out of 'master 2' straight into 'input' the Behringer soundcard. Connect the sound card with USB to your pc/laptop. Nothing more!
Then follow the instructions of this link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUe-JSIj1h4&t=209s
Must say, tested through YouTube live and the sound is perfect !!!! If questions, just ask, maybe i can help.
Have a great weekend.
Greetings

I can't help but think you somehow disabled your line/mic-in device in windows. That would prevent it from showing up in OBS.
