Audio, no video

I'm trying to digitise VHS videos and bought a capture usb device, which relies on OBS (new installation). I successfully recorded 3 recordings without problem, then used other software to clip the ends etc, before resaving the files. That entailed adding other programs. Returning to OBS for another recording, audio works but not video (black box). I have a small capture program that shows video is still arriving at the computer (not sufficient to record), just not showing up in OBS.

Windows 10, desktop. Fully updated. Updated video drivers. Tried several different settings, also tried recommendations for graphics settings, none of which helped. Log file suggests problems with some of the component software bot being recognised or loading (I assume some other program has overwritten something). I've uninstalled then reinstalled OBS, with no change to the outcome. I could do with some instructions or clues on how to fix this, please.

Full uninstall of everything. Also wiped out remaining directories, including all software loaded since OBS. Tried using Administrator rights. No change. Are the errors showing in the log of significance? The .dll files are present, obviously freshly installed with OBS, but reported as not loading on a clean fresh install.
