Hi all,
I'm new to OBS any trying to figure out how to the get live stream sound out to a remote projector / sound system in an adjacent building.
This is a small church. I'm using OBS to live stream a single camera, with sound coming from the sound board with a Scarlett Solo USB.
Before streaming with OBS, I recorded the service with a camcorder. I fed the camera with sound from the soundboard, and then also pushed the camera's HDMI (with sound from the board) through an HDMI distribution system to the adjacent building's projector and sound system.
I'm planning to use Full Screen Preview to send live-stream video to the remote projector, and I would like to have the live-stream sound also sent in the HDMI.
Should I use the Advanced Audio Settings >> Monitor And Output to output sound to the live stream and also 'monitor' sound out to the computer's HDMI audio device?
The other option I'm considering is using an HDMI audio inserter to to take send a separate mix from the sound board.
Is there a better approach that I'm missing?
Thanks!
