Audio Mixer signal stops but Focusrite Scarlett Solo is still showing a signal

The Scarlett Solo is connected via USB to my Windows laptop. I can see the signal pinging in the Audio Mixer. I am recording but not streaming.
Suddenly the Audio Mixer goes dead. No Green/Yellow/Red signal. But I can still hear the audio on the Direct Monitor output of the Scarlett.
The 'fix' is to quit and start up OBS again. But then I have to tell the speaker to pick up where it cut off.
OBS Studio 26.0.2 64-bit Windows
I will add a log file when done with the recording I am doing right now. :)

And this is from the next run that went for over 40 minutes just fine.

I looked through the logs of the bad run. This is what I found that looks suspicious:
Code:
11:56:14.947: ==== Recording Start ===============================================
11:56:14.947: [ffmpeg muxer: 'simple_file_output'] Writing file 'C:/Users/RootsTech/Videos/2020-11-14 11-56-14.mkv'...
11:57:04.979: warning: mjpeg_decode_dc: bad vlc: 0:0 (0000022B91A86288)
11:57:04.980: error:   error dc
11:57:04.980: error:   error y=132 x=74
11:57:05.711: warning: mjpeg_decode_dc: bad vlc: 0:0 (0000022B91A86288)
11:57:05.712: error:   error dc
11:57:05.712: error:   error y=131 x=51
11:57:42.686: ==== Shutting down ==================================================

I remember that I just closed OBS before telling the recording to stop. And I don't find this error in the other logs.

Can I get some help to fix this?
