It worked before but now there's no sound, I've checked volume mixer and advanced audio properties, I've even reinstalled OBS but it's still not working, what else can I try?
try the following. use custom audio device (your capture card). advanced audio settings monitor and output. you may only have to do one of these things. by doing both audio may be doubled. I recommend using a physical mic to record the speaker of the source that your recording from. however since the source is generally output only to the capture card. a good idea is to buy an hdmi splitter connect the source to the input. the output to the capture card and another output to a portable tv for sound then disable the capture card in microphone settings. if your video capture device is a webcam forget I said anything but even in that case it makes more sense to use an external mic instead of the one attached to the webcam itself.
