Audio meters inside UI lag

Don't know which came first, the chicken or the egg here, but the same time I ran my latest Windows Update, OBS 26.1 released / updated and since then, my audio meters sampling inside the UI have been lagging. Not sampling lower like you can set in the settings, actually lagging. Interestingly enough, when I pop the audio mixer OUT of the UI, the meters are sampling in real time.

Anyone else having this issue? Have a solve?

Had to roll all the back to OBS 26 rc3 to fix this. I noticed the UI even lags in versions afterwards. Yikes.

Still having the issue with OBS 26rc3 I'm out of ideas here other than to roll back windows.

Rolled back Windows updates to an earlier date, back to normal.

This issue was introduced in OBS 26.x Roll back to 25.0.8 to get rid of this. Developers have not been able to get this sorted yet, but are aware of it...
My main issue with this is, that with OBS active, other applications get slow downs as well... for example Notepad++. There is a noticeable delay when you edit a file with it when OBS is active > 58.0.8. Really, devs, please fix this.
