Bug Report Audio level Fluctuating

I'm been using OBS to stream for a few months now, but recently in the last few weeks, I have been experiencing many problems with my audio.

First, every time I stream desktop/mic ratio is completely different. Sometimes I have to turn my desktop audio way down so that you can hear me speak, and sometimes you can even hear the desktop audio until I add a gain filter of about 10db. I always have OBS and my game at 100% on my volume mixer, and my audio on my pc to full.

The first problem can be easily worked around by doing test recordings before I stream to find the right audio levels etc. But, the second and main problem is that when I am streaming or recording, the volume of my game sound fluctuates (up and down). The maximum volume the game sound will go during the stream is the volume I want, but it keeps changing. One second it the right volume, next you can't even hear it, and then you can hear it but it's just soft, etc. It kind of sounds like something is trying to equalise the volume level of the game and failing miserably.

I have spent hours and hours, nights on end experimenting with different possible solutions, but I have finally given up and am now asking for help. Thanks in advance for anyone who tries to help!

(note, this isn't even a bad occurrence of the issue, I just took a random 15s of my recent stream.

This sounds like a compressor is trying to do its work?
On what system is this? If in Windows, have you checked audio effects of your sound properties (remove effects, maybe a compressor)?
