Question / Help Audio issues with lag when streaming

Hi there,

Using Obs Studio and i stream clash of clans competitions.

I can steam and have sources set up fine.
When I talk to views there is no issue at all, all works well.

The problem I have is when I join a chat via discord, whilst my viewers can hear it, there is a delay both my end and there end.

I have my desktop audio going through my logitec usb headphones.

How do I also include a discord chat in the stream without any lag?

Thanks in advance

Windows 10 user if needed.

There is always some kind of unavoidable latency with rtmp streaming. It's from a few seconds up to 10-15 seconds, depending on the streaming service. It's difficult to establish direct dialog between you and someone who is watching your stream and be able to directly comment on things appearing in the stream. A viewer will see the stream a few seconds after you sent a certain scene, and if he comments these few seconds later, his answer will always appear these few seconds later.

You may look for (usually paid) "low latency" options with your streaming provider, but the delay cannot be completely eliminated. It also requires you to have a perfect connection to the streaming service, otherwise your stream gets lost packets and starts to buffer on the viewer's side.
