Question / Help Audio issues with a Asus Xonar D1

I'm attempting to pick up desktop sound, and the OBS settings are set to my default audio device (speakers on my Xonar D1), I hear audio playing through the speakers, but it is not being picked up by OBS. Additionally all other audio devices are disabled on my PC. Oddly enough the volume mixer for Windows 7 doesn't actually show the green audio bar it usually does to reflect active audio. I'm fairly confused as to what could be causing this issue.

I'm using Asus Xonar DGX and the sound was not recording at all. GX DSP mode was causing the problem. Too bad I can't keep it enabled because it helps in games.
