Question / Help Audio Issues [resolved]

Ok so i'm having some audio issues on my stream (big surprise lol). I am using a dazzle capture device. I installed crossbar thing so my audio works...sometimes. It seems to be a hit and miss. But thats not really what i'm asking about. I attempted to test a stream out a little earlier and for some reason the crossbar thing wasnt working and so i had no audio. Before i could watch my stream an ad played (normal). Well after the ad my stream came up and all i heard was echoes of the ad playing over and over. Why would that happen? Here is my log just in case that is relevant in this case.

Ok i just got crossbar to work and went to my stream. My audio is good but the music in the game and every sound that i make just repeats over and over and you can hear it in the stream. Is that my settings or stream settings or just something else random with the dazzle?

Re: Audio Issues

If you have it set to "output to desktop" then it will loop because you're also capturing desktop sound with the desktop sound channel. So you need to make it output to stream only or mute desktop sound capture.

Re: Audio Issues

Thanks alot jim. I had it set to only output to the stream but i guess the key was to mute my audio on obs.

I have another quick question for you jim or anyone else that would like to help. So like i have said before i am using a dazzle to play the legend of zelda: the Wind waker. So basically in an effort to make my stream look half way decent i put my base resolution to 852x480 with no downscale. And the dazzle quality is at 720x480. Well i also want to have my hd webcam that i want in the top left corner of the stream. But i want the webcam alot smaller than the actual game itself so i just make it smaller but then the quality is complete crap. I understand that this is normal but is there anyway around it that you know of? I have seen similar streams and their webcams look really good.

Re: Audio Issues

Just use a smaller resolution for the webcam device rather than downsizing it.

Yeah I actaully just used the getting the most out of your webcam guide in that section and it works pretty good. Thanks alot :)
