Question / Help Audio issue

Hi guys,

I use a Turtle Beach PX21 headset that enables me to control volume of my game and chat separately. In order for this feature to work on a PC, I have to make the game play through my speakers and then set the headset itself as the playback for TeamSpeak.

This issue this presents is that I can either have just the game audio or just the TeamSpeak audio as I can't find a way to combine the two whilst still maintaining the control I get from the sliders on my headset. Does anyone know how I can combine the two separate audio methods for streaming but still have them work separately in terms of volume control?

Would be awesome if someone could help me with this,

Cheers,

Ryan

Actually the current version of OBS is flawed in that there's no way to set up two desktop audio devices, this will be fixed in upcoming versions, but in the mean time I can give you a (slightly painful) workaround:

1.) Install the directshow audio source plugin (https://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2579)
2.) Add a global source of the directshow audio source plugin, and set it to capture "what you hear" or "stereo mix" (hopefully you have them, if you don't you may be out of luck)
3.) Set your desktop audio device in audio settings to your headset
4.) Add the directshow audio source to each scene you use

If you do that, then you should then be able to capture both at the same time. This will be added in future versions eventually (namely the rewrite).
