Audio is fine in my headset, but quite distorted on OBS

So I'm new to Twitch streaming and I'm posting this believing I have something configured wrong in OBS but the issue could be something else. As the title says, everything is fine in my headphones but not so much when I'm listening to the playback in Twitch (through OBS). I'm currently play Elder Scrolls which is a fantasy type open world game.

Whenever I cast a spell it sounds more like a heavy rain sound and when I pick up treasure it has this static-ish bump sound. One viewer even said it sounded like a goose honking. So far I have tried the following:

1. Unplugging my headset to see if there was any difference. Negative.
2. Updated my Audio Input from "Default" to my laptop Microphone and to my headset (controller) microphone. Double Negative.
3. Updated the Audio Output from "Default" to my laptop speakers and to my headset (controller) speakers. Also a double negative.
4. Verified in OBS audio settings that it was set to 48 kHz and to Stereo, though both were grayed out so I couldn't change them anyhow.
5. Ran OBS as administrator.
6. Uninstalled Nahimic to see if it was interfering. It didn't appear to be.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
