Audio interface / OBS issue

Hello everyone ,

I’m having 2 issues with my setup.
I have a tascam-322 AUI.
I recently decided I wanted the output of my audio to go through the interface which I set up with no problem

when I tried to record with OBS today it wasn’t detecting my tascam,
Only once I take out and put back in the Tascam USB does OBS recognize it .. this happens every time I start OBS.
Secondly , when I have completed the recording (or not ) When I go to any windows media player , it opens , but the video won’t play as long as OBS is open. Once closed , the video plays normally.

perhaps it’s an issue with Realtek sound manager..

all I know for sure , I never had this issue when I ran the output through the laptops H/O

any help please :)

Just put the output settings back to the laptop , and the issues have gone away .

put the audio interface as the output and again , OBS has trouble recognizing it , and video media won’t play while OBS is open,

seems like a software issue that isn’t allowing multitasking

MIC input - AI fine
mic output - AI fine
Laptop - AI not fine

Yup, that Realtek manager's attempt to help you, along with Win10, complicates matters greatly.
I suspect you've set OBS to use a default someone, and depending on whether Tascam plugged in before login or not, the device enumeration varies [or I get a Realtek prompt when I plug in the device, and that answer may be different than what Realtek/Win10 does by default]
In my case, the new Audio Monitor in OBS 26 now (for me) shows a drop down and a device listing. You may need to pick the specific device vs a default?
