Question / Help Audio Input Problems

Hi, I have been having this problem for a while, and I'd like to see if someone finally figured out an answer. I remember there was a work around, but that work around didn't seem to be helping for me. I'm actually now coming across two different problems with the audio.

1: I need a way to grab audio from a Skype conversation as an audio input for OBS.

2: My microphone can be selected as an audio input on my end, but when I play back the video recorded with OBS, the audio that I recorded from my microphone only seems to be coming out of the left speaker on my headphones.

Any solutions would be highly appreciated, as the first problem is the major one preventing me from live streaming my podcast. Thanks!

1. Configure Skype to output to the device you're recording in OBS.

2. Settings > Audio > Force Microphone/Auxiliary to Mono

1. I'm not sure how to do this. Can you explain? Are you saying to configure it somehow to output to my microphone, or as an input device in OBS?

2. I don't have the option to force it to mono. I only have the option to select the device.
