Audio Input not connecting my device

Hello to anyone who reads this! I've been trying to record on OBS for quite a while, and I can't seem to get any microphone to work. I use headsets and not an actual mic itself. When I go to OBS and go to settings, I press on Mic/Auxiliary audio and it says it's disabled. There is no other option to choose even if I wanted one. The headphones/headsets I use are plugged into the front of my computer and two have a mic on the cord, and one has a mic like a headset. The only thing that has worked for audio is my bluetooth headphones. but the audio muffled and I don't want to use the headphones like that (but that's not the issue. Also I don't want to use bluetooth, it just doesn't work well with my computer). I've tried testing the mic in the actual settings but it wont work either. It worked once, but then the next time I pugged in my headphones it asked 'what device did you just plug in?' I clicked 'on ear headphones' and pressed 'never show this again' I thought I'd just bring that up because that might be why my settings wont pick up my mic, it says that it's disconnected. If this is an issue anyone else has or if anyone knows how to fix this I would be to grateful. If you need more info please say, I will try my best to give as much info as I can!
