Question / Help Audio gradually out of sync

Hello everybody.

I psot here because i can't figure out how to solve this problem for the life of me. I'm streaming since maybe a year ago with obs studio, never used the old version of obs.

Here's where the problem is NOT. I use obs to record my gameplay footage, and there's absolutely no sound or video delay at all, everything is perfectly in sync, all that while using the cpu capture. Coming out at 60 fps, that's great.

Here's the problem now, when i stream, using nvenc, the audio become gradually out of sync. I saw solution suggesting to put the delay at 1000 ms, which probably work but for me it would just reverse the problem since the beginning of the video would be greatly out of sync and then synced gradually.

I heard this problem is caused by the creator update for windows 10, and surely, the only time i tried to format my pc and reinstlaled obs before the creator update could reinstall, the audio perfectly stayed in sync the whole time.

So yeah, it's becoming tiring. The solutions i see are for the very old version of obs nobody uses anymore, and nobody seems to have a solution for this problem, and i'm not the only one having it. Any help would be greatly appreciated because i'm tired of having my viewers tell me that "hey, your audio is out of sync !"

Thanks.

Try activating vsync in your games. Usually when videos with variable framerate get encoded the are a bit longer than the audio meaning desync in the output.

Ok just a bump to say i've found kind of a solution to my problem.

The solution being to record my stream with 2 different audio tracks, and readjust them afterward on sony vegas pro. That mean the stream still have the delay, but the recording doesn't.

It's kind of a band aid solution but it work and it's the only thing i found that work. So in case someone find this thread... use that.

I also discovered this problem happen a lot with blizzard games.
