Recently hosted a livestream using OBS for a client, midway through the stream the audio and video stopped being in sync (up to ~1-3s delay in audio).
Video was hosted on Facebook Live, and was played through the Media Source option in OBS. Total video length was slightly over an hour, and the lag kicked in around the midpoint of the stream. Had to jump to a backup stream (Also on OBS but on a mac), and before we did so, we restarted the OBS software, which helped to fix the problem.
I'm trying to diagnose the issue and hope that it does not happen again. I've seen suggestions that the software is the issue - and to not use the Media Source option as a way to livestream, instead use VLC and capture the VLC window instead.
Searched the web and i'm not sure what triggered the lag. I've uploaded the log file below.
Internet was a stable 4mbps, and my computer is a decent RTX 3070, so I don't think my internet or graphics card is the limiting factor here. Anyone else faced the same issue?
