Audio Glitches During Playback of Recorded Video

Hello folks - I am brand new here - I tried searching for this very strange problem with no luck. Posting about it here just on the odd chance that it has been seen before and someone knows an easy fix.

First, I am using OBS to record streaming video from my browser in full-screen mode, and this problem happens with files recording from multiple different computers and with any configuration settings I have tried. I am using Display Capture. The recordings SEEM to work just fine, and the files play back perfectly on MOST devices.

But when played using one specific device (an old Asus O!Play video player), the audio has seemingly random loud glitches (almost like an extremely brief screech). These glitches are 100% repeatable and are in the exact same places every time the file is played from any source. This means that whatever is causing them is somehow embeded in the recorded file. However, when the SAME file is played back using VLC on the computer, or directly on my smart TV from either a network or USB source, the audio is clean. Furthermore, if I examine the audio wave form using VideoReDo software, it does not show any strange spikes or problems. That Asus video player ONLY has this problem with OBS recorded videos - mkv and mp4 recorded files from any other source have perfect audio.

Any ideas on something I might change in OBS settings to try and solve this?

Of course I do not HAVE to use the Asus player, but since it is the only simple way for me to play archived DVD .iso files over my LAN, it is easy to use the same device to watch all of my archived videos. It would be nice if I didn't have to make a distinction between the OBS recordings and everything else. Thanx in advance for any advice.
