Audio File Seperation

Hi,

Is there a way to save the different types of audios as separate files? For my exact problem, I'm trying to find out if I can save my mic audio and desktop audio as separate files so I can edit them separately in my editing software of choice. If I think the background sound is too loud or quiet, I would like to be able to change that separately from my mic audio, and vice versa.

Record to multiple audio tracks according to https://obsproject.com/kb/multiple-audio-track-recording-guide then extract the tracks with tools like ffmpeg, audacity or avidemux for postprocessing. Many postprocessing tools also support importing audio tracks from video files directly without intermediate audio file.
