Question / Help Audio Feedback When Everything Is Muted

Sorry, super new to all of this. Using OBS for FB live. One of my issues is even though I have everything muted, my Mic/Aux channel is still showing sound input [I don't want to disable to mic channel, I want to find out where this feedback noise is coming from.]. I'm sure it's just a setting change I need to make somewhere, but I'm having a hard time finding it.

When I unplug my mic cable from the computer the sound goes away. If I have it plugged in to the computer, it comes back. On the other side I can have nothing plugged in, mic/sound mixer/headphones plugged in and it's still the same, so it doesnt seem like the problem resides on the other side of the cord. Makes me believe its a minor software setting.

In your first screenshot, you muted the playback devices in the Windows Mixer. The Mic/Aux in Mixer is a recording device, which you didn't show if you muted it from within Windows or not.

If you want to completely remove your Mic from your OBS stream, set it to Disabled in Settings->Audio. Or click on the speaker icon right to the blue bar in OBS to mute it, if you want to control mid-stream when to transmit your mic and when not. It's a on-off toggle. You can also set a hotkey for this action to make it push-to-talk.

So my setup is Sound Board > Computer through mic jack. I need the Mic input, but not sure where the sound is coming from when everything is muted, second photo shows theres no sound coming through the mic, yet in OBS there is clearly sound feedback from something

Thinking it was my sound card, I bought a usb audio sound adapter. That appears to have fixed my issue. Faulty sound card
