Question / Help Audio Echo'ing With Gamecapture+Windowcapture

I'm basically wanting to capture from 2 sources when I stream, one is my chat program for twitch so the chat appears on the video as well, I think its a nifty feature to show the conversations when the video is no longer live, along with the actual game capture as well.... Now I'll link a video to show you guys whats going on, but basically the stream, audio are fine, when I'm just doing a game capture, but when I use the window capture as well in the scenes sources with both checked, I get a double echo, no lag, just sound is echo'd like its capturing sound from both sources.....

1) is it supposed to do this?
2) is there a possible fix?

I've check every windows and mic settings, disabled a few things like webcam audio, gone into microphone settings under windows playback and recording devices, its none of that after about 3 hours of trial and error trying to pin down exactly what it was and it was because I have 2 sources enabled in the scene.

All I know is that OBS picks up ALL sound from your computer. So it could be picking up the game capture sound which, along with that, will cause two of the same sound sources to be streamed. Might have to wait for someone with more experience on the issue to help you. Also, why not use the chat plugin for OBS? Add it as a global source and it will appear in your stream without needing an extra window. Also, make sure you aren't watching your stream while you stream, otherwise OBS will pick up that sound as well (unless it is muted). I just keep my browser on the twitch dashboard or use Chatty to view my chat. Good luck streaming! :)

Thanks for the reply Amenince! yeah I found that out the hard way before about not watching your own stream or forgetting its on in the twitch dashboard lol... I actually didn't know about the plugin you could get for the chat, I was using a program called Chatty which is really quite decent... Thanks for that helpful tip!

I'm not quite sure what was going on with my sound, my other videos sound was fine so, even if I personally can't pin point it maybe its a bug unless no one else can replicate it of course. For now I just wont stream the chat, but I'm gonna give that plugin a go! do you have a link? as there are many of those!

I found out the hard way as well lol, I was getting so frustrated with the "infinite loop" until I learned OBS picked up all audio. I felt so dumb XD I actually use Chatty, but only to chat instead of having my browser open (I don't want any resources being hogged so I close out of EVERYTHING baha), but I use it in conjunction with the plugin. If you don't have the CLR Browser Plugin get that first: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/clr-browser-source-plugin.22/ and then use this plugin (from the plugins section of this forum) here: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/yatcp-yet-another-twitch-chat-plugin.37/ All you do is install the CLR Browser, if it doesn't work just copy the .dll file over to the plugins folder in OBS (I prefer using the 32 bit version since a lot of alerts like the ones on Nightdev only work in 32 bit) and restart it. Same with the chat client if it doesn't automatically install after the CLR Browser. Then create a global source as chat using the plug in and adjust it and it should load up when you start streaming (preview to make sure). Might have to sign into your twitch to verify.
