Hello everyone, I am new to OSB and recording my gameplay. I am listening to some of the videos I have recorded and there is a reverb/hallway echo like effect to the audio was recorded from my game capture input and I cannot figure out how to fix it. This is my setup for recording came capture footage from my PS5

1. PS5 is hooked into Astro HDMI adapter with HDMI cord
2. Astro A50 base station plugged into Astro HDMI adaptor with optical cord
3. Astro HDMI adaptor is plugged into the El Gato 4K 60Pro MKII capture card in my PC
4. El Gato capture card is plugged into my tv via HDMI

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Take care!

Do you Monitor that source? Do you Desktop Capture or Audio Output Capture the same device that you send the Monitor to?

Seems like several times a week, there's another new user that doesn't understand how late the Capture pickup is. It's pretty much the last possible thing before the signal leaves the physical box, and so it includes absolutely EVERYTHING that the device does, as if you literally tapped into the physical wire or put a mic in front of the speaker. Apps, systems sounds, OBS's own Monitor, *everything*.

So, if you have that Capture on in OBS (it's on by default: Settings -> Audio), and you have the Monitor on, and you use the same device for Monitor and Capture, you get a second copy of everything you Monitor, in that Capture. If you also Monitor the Capture, it goes through the loop again, and again, and again, and......
If the loop delay is short enough, that's reverb. (and you also have an unusually fast system) Otherwise, it's a series of discrete echoes, one for each trip around the loop.
