Question / Help Audio Distortion

Hey guys I'm new to streaming and I've run into a problem when it came to audio. When I stream, my voice on the stream becomes distorted (the tone of my voice deepens, music tone deepens). Can anyone let me know what I am doing wrong and if this is a common problem? I currently use an ASTRO A40 headset in case you're wondering.

Do you happen to have a vod of this so I can see specifically what it sounds like?

You could make a twitch.tv vod (have to turn those on manually), or just email me a very small (< 5mb) example
