Question / Help Audio Desync with OBS.

I recently went back to edit together some previous stream recordings for a blooper reel, and found that the audio on some of my videos is totally desynced. Some upto 4 or 5 seconds behind what's going on on screen, while others are upto 5 seconds ahead. Now, I don't know enough to even know where to begin with this problem, beyond audio and recording settings, and a quick search on google doesn't turn up anything relevant to me. Mostly it's stuff to do with capture cards for consoles, and I'm not doing that currently.

I'm using Studio and Win10. What specs you need please tell me, because I don't know what to post that would be relevant.

We need a copy of the OBS Studio log for an offending recording. In OBS Studio, go to Help -> Log Files -> Show Log Files, and then upload the .txt file corresponding to the date of a desynchronized recording.

Also, please verify that the desynchronization occurs in a media player like VLC, as video editing software often has many configuration options for how it treats the synchronization of audio and video.

The Log Files are going to be a problem. I just went to grab what you asked for, and I only have the last 10 Log Files. I''m going to guess this is a default option or something? I can record something and just grab those if that'll help.

It's also worth noting, I haven't edited any of the original files, and only just now used a platform to splice everything together. I'm not seeing the desync in the editor; I'm seeing it in the raw video files and the uploaded ones on youtube.

Please link me to some of the offending YouTube videos, and yes, record something to produce the log, being sure that the audio sync problem is present in the recorded video associated with the log. If you could upload the erroneous, recorded video, I'd be happy to take a look at it, for you, as well.

Please post a link to a clean log file. To make a clean log file, first restart OBS, then start your stream/recording for ~30 seconds and stop it again. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc. When you're done select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.

Take a look at any of the recent videos basically. It seems that switching from Classic to Studio has 'caused' the bug. All my videos from Classic are fine it seems, but Studio has consistently produced desynced videos. Clearly, I've done something wrong...

I'll have 'clean' log files to post in a day or two, so don't hold your breath. Basically I want to record a game or program I've done before as well?

I scrubbed through the video, all the way to the end, and the game audio was perfectly synchronized. Are you saying that there is some point in particular where the audio is desynchronized, and then it falls back into sync? If so, please link me directly to that timestamp. Are you saying that the game audio is fine, but your voice is desynchronized? I don't understand.

Seems you're right. I'll link a point in that video and another where it's obvious.

Look at the Subtitles and character animations to see the desync
