Hi everyone, so this is probably a fairly common question in the forum, but even after weeks I still have not found any solution to the issue I'm facing so I'm just trying my luck making my own post here in hopes of getting an answer as to why this is happening.
To be completely honest, I don't quite know what to classify this issue as. Audio stutter? Break? Cracking? Skipping? But basically, there's this cracking sound you hear when you cut off an audio sample in the middle without fading it out happening every 9-10 seconds in my streams and recordings. It's not exactly a critical issue but it does irritate me a great amount when trying to record and edit videos, especially now that I'm trying to focus more on music and audio. This happens only when it's audio from OBS, be it streams or recordings. Audio from any other program or downloaded audio work just fine.
When I checked it in Audacity, it doesn't look like the audio was particularly cut out like I initially thought? If anything it looked like something didn't line up somewhere and clashed as a result.
I've tried every single bit rate and sample rate there is in OBS and even tweaked those same settings in other programs, all that changed was how often this cracking occurs, not actually solving it.
Attached here are a 60 second recording of a 440Hz test tone, a zoomed in screenshot of said recording in Audacity, an mp3 version of the recording if you wish to inspect for yourselves in Audacity or similar programs, and the log file from that same recording.
