I have a compressor on the end of my filter stack configured as a hard limiter with the following settings:
Ratio: 32
Threshold: -10
Attack: 1
Release: 25
Gain: 0
My voice normally stays between -25 and -15. I slapped this compressor on to make sure it would never go into the red or white, however even with these settings I am able to reach 0.0 db quite easily without even raising my voice that much. If this was working correctly, that would mean my moderately raised voice is producing +320 decibels. This can not be correct.
