Audio can't detect Camera Microphone

I'm using a Canon EOS M50 and I can't the audio microphone for the camera, I've used both usb cable and capture card and when I go to Audio it just says USB Cabl

i have the same problem, my shotgun mic that is plugged into the camera does not pickup in obs i need an answer on why this is happening
