Hey, everybody! I'm a first time poster, so bare with me.
I'm new to streaming and decided to use the Open Broadcaster Software. I was very happy with it the first few time I used it. Tonight, however, I had some audio problems in my stream. Basically, it sounds like the background audio is booming or humming loudly.
I thought it was my microphone at first and adjusted the settings on it, but the problem continued. The chat said it got worse as the stream progressed. I used my mic separately apart from the stream and it did not have the problem, nor did VLC when I used it's screen capture function to see what happens.
The videos I'm attaching are from the after my stream when I was trying to fix the problem. The first video is just the game audio without the microphone. The heavy bass or distortion of the background audio is the problem the chat alerted me to. It got to the point where you could not understand me with the microphone.

This is the one with the microphone.

I know the mic isn't very loud in this one, but I wanted to focus on the thumping, humming sound. The deep sound is not in the background song and only occurs when the music is playing. if I cut it off and only use the mic audio, it works fine.
i am using an ASUS i7 laptop with Windows 8.1
My microphone is an Audio Technica 2035 run through a Focusrite Scarlet Solo.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions. If you want, I'll add one of the longer videos tomorrow if you want a better idea of what the problem is.
